wanna be a mr/mrs doctor? well, no one's stopping ya!

this is for my juniors (or dongsaeng as the koreans call (adiuh, nk jgak!) ) who intrested in taking medicine.

--my first point would be: hey, we share the same dreams!! :)

--okay, what u need to know is that there are not much of scholarship for medicine as to compare with engineering, acc, law, etc. so as soon as any related medical scholarship opened for application, grab it!

--right, i dunt know if this one should one should be mentioned but medicine and medical science are different. what u really want to go with if u want to be a dr is M-E-D-I-C-I-N-E.

--AS FOR SMKBSians, interview can be in two forms- individually or in group. kalu individual, dye akn byk tnye pasl diri awk, yr opinion and isu semasa. kalu grouping, i wud say 90% of it is about isu semasa. last year, mara pnye interview individually while jpa pnye wat groupy. kalu nk tnye pasl individual bleyh tnye saya, kalu nk tnye yg grouping boleh tanye kak erly (kat fb!) .

--anyway, for both type interview, u need to be organized- one of the point is make resume to sell youself!

--and for any interview, you should do your h/W that are to equip yourself with general knowledge and plz know bout current issues around the nation and world. next, please know bout the place you wish to go for study (ranking, why u wanna go thre, how much mara has to pay for u (if its mara), does mara send student thre, prog persediaan katne and mcm2 lg la). and plz ambl taw espcially pasl medical issue.

--and please know what kind of scholarship you are applying for. different scholarship, diff policies. jpa u xpayah byr blek tp kene gov-bound brape tahun ntah (meaning kne keja ngan gov). kalu mara xde gov-bound lame2 tp kne byr blek (peratusan kne byr ikot kputusan kita- kalu successful sgt, myb kne byr 1% je). so ambil tahu sume ni.

--all the best. we all know you got plenty of time now. so this is the time to be prepared. please speak in english at home starting from today so that u wont sound like idiot in front of the interviewers. im not good myself but hey, practice makes perfect!

gosh! We were braniacs! used to!

i played tic-tac-toe (if thats what you call of a game with 9 drawn boxes and 2 players play with each having own symbol - simple saying a circle or a cross mark, and that the mission is to get a 3-boxes row with all your symbols IN) with my bro last night. and what i just thought is that, we have never been as innocently genius (genius without being realized ;p) as when we were kids.

i could still recall the moments when i was a primary school student, when post exam school days were euphoria-ful days for all of us
(unlike now in college when we were then busy worrying out what we'll be getting for exam results).
Last time in primary school, at the end of the year after exam, some of us will bring some board games, but mostly didn't. what we were obsessed on were the kepong game, tic-tac-toe, and the "name, tempat" game. ala, dont tell me you dont know those games!

the name tempat game is a game that requires at least 2 players. players are supposed to decide on a specific alphabet for each round and supposed to fill some examples in some columns provided in accordance to the categories. Among the common columns prepared are name, country, food, artist, and bla bla bla (god knows what other creative categories we could think of that time!). i can still recall that at the end of each round, whoever having the same thing filled in their column with another person shall be getting 50 marks while those with no same filling as any of the other players deserve 100 full marks.

we were  so excited playing those at that point in time. and most importantly, all it costs us are some papers that we can easily tear out from our school exercise books (takpe, dah akhir tahun. tahun depan gune buku baru. hee :D) . can u see it?  we were used of having fun with no cost! but look at us now-, we are turning into a horrible spending monster! we need money to have fun as we grow older. kids are pure genius. on the other hand, when a grown-up thinks of having fun, he wont be thinking of grabbing a paper and a pencil.
EVERYONE, we WERE sheer genius

Points on how to improve your life

Personality:
1. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
2. Don't have nega
tive thoughts of things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment
3. Don't over do; keep your limits
4. Don't take yourself so seriously; no one else does
5. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip
6. Dream more while you are awake
7. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need..
8. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner of his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
9. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others.
10. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present
11. No one is in charge of your happiness except you
12. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn.
Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
13. Smile and laugh more
14. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

Community:
15. Call your family often
16. Each day give something good to others
17. Forgive everyone for everything
18. Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6
19. Try to make at least three people smile each day
20. What other people think of you is none of your business
21. Your job will not take care of you when you are sick. Your family and friends will. Stay in touch.

Life:
22. Put GOD first in anything and everything that you think, say and do.
23. GOD heals everything
24. Do the right things
25. However good or bad a situation is, it will change
26. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up
27. The best is yet to come
28. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful
29. When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it
30. If you know GOD you will always be happy. So, be happy.
While you practice all of the above, share this knowledge with the people you love, people you school with, people you play with, people you work with and people you live with.
Not only will it enrich YOUR life, but also that of those around you.
this is what i got from Amal Aiman's blog (and he got from someone else).. neway, from whoever this originates from, thank you! rasa sangat tersepak dengan kenyataan2 di atas especially those bolded.

an english question

I read an engllish essay question few days ago. It's a debate essay titled "Those who take life so seriously will never get out of it alive". and since then, i cant help to think that I'm a major example to that. wat to do, cant help it thou. i read the Shopaholic&Baby by sophie kinsella . there's a part when the main character, Becky telling her family obstetrician (a male Dr) how she likes his tie and ask where he bought it. and the guy takes that question so seriously that he took long time to think in fact call his wife to ask where he had actually bought it. after all, it was only a rhetorical question by becky. but again, the Dr just cant help it. just like me. at times.

pardon me

pardon me for being a fickle lad
pardon me for thinking that the world revolves around me at times
pardon me for saying what I shouldn't be saying
pardon me if I'm being too tough
pardon me if I'm being too weak
I wish I can be perfect
but as imperfect as I am, I don't deserve to even wish for that
but just so you know, I AM trying
yet, just so i know, mere trying can never be enough.
