My lovely sister, Kak Wan Mai yesterday mentioned that when we learn Tafseer of the Quran, we should aim to feed ourselves in 3 aspects: suluki (obedience of heart), fikri (the way we think) and amali (action).
Being a daie/naqib naqibah/murabbi murabbiah, this is what you should be aiming for when you deliver your message. You want to make sure (or at least try) that the tafseer caters and address the way the audience think, increase their obedience for Allah and make them see the practical side of things i.e have ideas on what can practically be done when they go home.
May Allah give us the right understanding in His Deen and Quran, and we should try to read and do our research more. Surely we don't want to spread the wrong messages!
And needless to say, when you read tafseer for your own gain, you should ask yourselves too if you have covered all three.
When you are covering any tafseer, try to get a few sources as different speakers or mufassirin tend to approach differently i.e some are more suluki, some amali, and some fikri. Take Nouman Ali Khan for instance, I find that his way is more fikri. But of course, he covered the other 2 aspects too. But he focuses more on fikri especially with regards to the linguistic significance.
Anyhow, I love tafseer by Syeikh Navaid Aziz too. If you have any suggestion on other speakers, please do share :)
Suggestion: after any halaqah, try to ask everyone or summarise list of things to do or what message do they want to take home.

You
You've all tried your best
And you are the products of situations.
I don't blame you.
Well.
Even if I do,
I'll keep reminding myself,
To make doa that we shall meet in syurga
Where all these problems are the past.
Where we keep no more worries.
Where happiness is no more a hope.
But a real thing.
O Lord,
Keep us strong.
I'd like to wish that time passes quickly,
But I'm not sure if we are all that ready.

Arwah Kak Nida
Pemergian arwah Kak Nida baru-baru ni benar-benar meninggalkan kesan.
Aneh.
Tak pernah bersua.
Mungkin sebab arwah dulu orang lester.
Mungkin.
Bercampur baur rasanya perasaan.
Rasa malu.
Sebab kau pernah melalui segala susah yang sama yang kami lalui,
Sistem peperiksaan yang kami sering keluhkan.
Kesibukan medic yang acap kali menyesakkan hati.
Namun, ku dengar orang khabarkan, itu tak pernah jadi alasan mu.
Ku dengar hebat dfmu,
Aku mendengar tentang mujahadahmu.
Walaupun mujahadah kita tak sama,
namun kuatmu itu jelas,
sejelas longlaiku.
Sungguh aku tak tipu,
Pergimu menggoncangku.
Aku malu, aku takut.
dan aku mahu tahu apa sumber kekuatanmu.
Allahu.

What do you want, Nursyafizan Amalina Rahamzan?

Forgiving
On "Forgiving"
Source: The Quest for Meaning by Tariq Ramadhan
An Islamic prophetic tradition says: ' Find seventy excuses for your brother (sister), and if you cannot find any, imagine that there is one excuse you do not know.'
This suggestion echoes the Christian maxim 'Love thy neighbour as thyself,' and 'Thou shalt not judge.'
It is about loving and suspending one's judgement.
This does not mean accepting everything that others do (in which case there would be no love), but it does mean taking the view that their mistakes or sins do not tell us the whole truth about them.
In Measure for Measure, Shakespeare suggests that we "condemn the fault and not the actor of it" if we wish to ensure that we do not punish the wrong person.

but only God is in a position to judge human beings

Lontar
Beri aku kamar kebal.
Biar kalis segala bunyi.
Biar aku sorak meriuh,
Izin aku melontar ajuk,
Tanpa sesal tumpang meniti.
Beri aku ruang. Beri aku peluang.
Biar aku seorang. Beri aku hati lapang.
Rahsia hati.
Dalam.
Biarkan ia.
Wajah hati berseka.
Biar kalis segala bunyi.
Biar aku sorak meriuh,
Izin aku melontar ajuk,
Tanpa sesal tumpang meniti.
