Al Lateef

Allah is Al-Lateef (soft and subtle),
the way He's showing His love can be subtle.
It can be in what deemed coincidence.
It might be in what seemed acquaintances.

It can be in the hardship of looking which makes us more persistence.
It can be in tiring wait which makes us more patient.
It can be in the peace of heart.
It can be in the form of company.
It can be in the rays of sunshine.
Or the rarity of aurora.

Sometimes He makes us feel like we are alone to say "Hey, I'm here",
Sometimes He grant our wishes immediately after we ask just to tell us "See, I do listen"
Sometimes He makes us lose someone or something, just to teach us to appreciate, cause you know what we are his servants, Him-the Most Appreciative.

Allah has, beautiful names,
and through many things in our life, although we can never be perfect because it is only Him who is perfect, He is moulding us to have those attributes too.

Ar-Rahman wants us to be an abidurrahman.
Al-Lateef wants us to be abidullateef.

I strongly believe that this life is a journey in which Allah is moulding us to be a servant of His.
And Al-Lateef does that all in subtlety.

Aurora and the Snow

Aleppo

Mendengarkan apa yang terjadi di Aleppo membuatkan diri ini rasa malu.
Malu dengan diri yang kadang merungut dengan masalah.
Mujahadah belum bermula, semangat dah patah dengan madah tentang potensi padah.
Seksaan kakak2 abang2 di sana tak terbanding.

Risau mereka risau tentang hidup dan mati. Malah bukan nyawa sendiri sahaja. It's the lives of their wives and kids too. Risau aku, tak lebih daripada masalah diri sendiri yang kebanyakannya akibat perbuatan sendiri atau bila diri berfikiran negatif.

Lapar mereka lapar lantaran memang tiada dapatan makanan, cari-cari pun tak jumpa. atau cari makanan untuk sambung nyawa bermakna mendedah risiko hilang nyawa di hujung peluru. Lapar aku malas nak masak atau malas membeli groceries.

Geram dengan diri sendiri. Why do you have to live a self-centred life.
Aleppo adalah satu panggilan.
Sama ada untuk engkau membantu dalam laku, tutur, dan mahu.
Paling cikai, untuk engkau berhenti rasa masalah engkau paling mega.

Argh.
Stop being selfish.

The Date and the Delay

What might work to refresh a worn-out heart is to hear about the sahabah.
In the War of Badr, a sahabah (Umayr bin Al-Humam) was about to eat a date. Upon hearing about the paradise, he did not continue eating the date and quickly jumped into the battlefield. Sahabah, they are scared to even let a small date delay their journey to Allah and His paradise.

And dear girl, just how many dates you are having?
