mak: harun.
nana: hah? harun?
mak: eh. aaron.

gosh! We were braniacs! used to!

i played tic-tac-toe (if thats what you call of a game with 9 drawn boxes and 2 players play with each having own symbol - simple saying a circle or a cross mark, and that the mission is to get a 3-boxes row with all your symbols IN) with my bro last night. and what i just thought is that, we have never been as innocently genius (genius without being realized ;p) as when we were kids.

i could still recall the moments when i was a primary school student, when post exam school days were euphoria-ful days for all of us
(unlike now in college when we were then busy worrying out what we'll be getting for exam results).
Last time in primary school, at the end of the year after exam, some of us will bring some board games, but mostly didn't. what we were obsessed on were the kepong game, tic-tac-toe, and the "name, tempat" game. ala, dont tell me you dont know those games!

the name tempat game is a game that requires at least 2 players. players are supposed to decide on a specific alphabet for each round and supposed to fill some examples in some columns provided in accordance to the categories. Among the common columns prepared are name, country, food, artist, and bla bla bla (god knows what other creative categories we could think of that time!). i can still recall that at the end of each round, whoever having the same thing filled in their column with another person shall be getting 50 marks while those with no same filling as any of the other players deserve 100 full marks.

we were  so excited playing those at that point in time. and most importantly, all it costs us are some papers that we can easily tear out from our school exercise books (takpe, dah akhir tahun. tahun depan gune buku baru. hee :D) . can u see it?  we were used of having fun with no cost! but look at us now-, we are turning into a horrible spending monster! we need money to have fun as we grow older. kids are pure genius. on the other hand, when a grown-up thinks of having fun, he wont be thinking of grabbing a paper and a pencil.
EVERYONE, we WERE sheer genius!

A Hysterical Letdown

A mother passing by her daughter's bedroom was astonished to see the bed was nicely made and everything was picked up. Then she saw an envelope propped up prominently on the center of the bed. It was addressed, "Mom." With the worst premonition, she opened the envelope and read the letter with trembling hands:

Dear Mom: It is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing you. I had to elope with my new boyfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with Dad and you. I've been finding real passion with Ahmed and he is so nice-even with all his piercings, tattoos, beard, and his motorcycle clothes. But it's not only the passion Mom, I'm pregnant and Ahmed said that we will be very happy. He already owns a trailer in the woods and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. He wants to have many more children with me and that's now one of my dreams too. Ahmed taught me that marijuana doesn't really hurt anyone and we'll be growing it for us and trading it with his friends for all the cocaine and ecstasy we want. In the meantime, we'll pray that science will find a cure for AIDS so Ahmed can get better; he sure deserves it!! Don't worry Mom, I'm 15 years old now and I know how to take care of myself. Someday I'm sure we'll be back to visit so you can get to know your grand children.

Your daughter, Judith

PS: Mom, none of the above is true. I'm over at the neighbor's house. I just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life than my report card that's in my desk center drawer. I love you! Call when it is safe for me to come home.

- An e-mail

I LOVE YOU, MOM

its beats slowing down lest it'll collapse

euphoria or dysphoria??
alhamdulillah..it may not be the fact i/ve been dreaming for...but thats the best Allah has given me.... hikmah i could think of~ he doesnt want to have ujub in my heart.

CONJECTURE...

i cried at my first glance of the slip.. i got 7a+ and 3a...and just imagine my initial feeling as i got to know that the 3 "bertuah punye subjects" are english, biology, and sejarah!. Allah knows how disappointed i am at thinking the fact that the subjects i slacked on are those super related to course im taking aftrwrds (medic.)..i was even worried to get know that the number of students getting straight A was a myriad.
"sure NUMBER OF STRAIGHT a'S STUDENTS ARE MYRIAD..BUT NUMBER OF SCHOLARSHIPS NOPE!"

but then my grandma told me stories bout her last time Haji in Macca. she said that upon reaching there, as she and the rest wanna pray, the first thought they had was that thay would not have the space to be in the saf. but later on, as people all stand up and prepare for solat, there'll be space, much, much initially unforeseenable space to place all the jamaah.. allah eases their path for an ibadah by sparing the space for'em..to be truth, my tears brimmed to think how i have been stupid for not trustng Allah on the rezki he's going to bless on me~ i might not see the chance, but He has sure spared one for me, the very best in fact. take my life as ibadah, and it'll be eased~

ANYWAY, THANX TO THOSE CONGRATULATING ME FOR THE RESULT~ mak, ayah, cg nazimah, juniors (FARUL, IZUDDIN, FAIROZ, INTAN, n sooooo many to be listed), lutfi sunbae(who sms from US), ali sunbae, naimy (ex-cubemate), beloved ex-classmates (erly (she scored even better that i did), ghazalian (ahah, syamim, niza, luqman, n cepek...we got d same rzt!)), sadiy (including your words rgarding d oversea thingy as well..BFF), nadia (cngratez to you dear), mak chu ina, and many many more.......................

special to niza, fera, syamim, faiz hakimi, haniff, syahrin, cerul, paan, and daus..
thanx for the hangout moments ya (kfc and bowling thing)..

haha...i even left my sijil and exam slip at mc donald at where i waited you guyz... d mc donald called maktab, and maktab called my dad's pejabat saying that "anak en ada masalah"... poor my parents thinkng i've been in serious trouble..huhu.... suck of me for creatingthe chaos for my silliness... after all,11 mac DID have so many to be held as reminiscenceS in my life =)

percy non of a messy> must watch!

At the top of the Empire State Building, Poseidon (Kevin McKidd) meets with Zeus (Sean Bean), who comments that the storm clouds have no lightning and that his master bolt has been stolen. He blames Poseidon's son for the theft. Despite Poseidon's claims of his son's innocence, Zeus gives Poseidon 14 days to return it, lest war break out.

During a field trip to an exhibition of Greek and Roman art, teenager Percy Jackson (Logan Lerman), is lured away from the crowd by a Fury disguised as his substitute English teacher, who then attacks him, questioning him about the lightning bolt. The incredulous Percy, who has no knowledge of this, is rescued by his Latin teacher, Mr. Brunner (Pierce Brosnan). After dispatching the Fury, Brunner gives Percy a magical pen. On Brunner's instruction, Percy's best friend, Grover (Brandon T. Jackson), takes Percy to a training camp for demigods, Camp Half-Blood, along with Percy's mother, Sally Jackson (Catherine Keener). During their trip to the camp, Percy attempts to learn about his biological father from Sally, but they are attacked by a Minotaur. Although Percy and Grover, who is revealed to be a satyr, make it to the camp, its defenses prohibit entrance to Sally, who is captured by the Minotaur, and disappears before Percy. Percy engages the Minotaur with the magical pen, which turns into a sword named Riptide, eventually killing the creature with one of its horns.

In touring Camp Half-Blood, Percy learns that Brunner is the mythological centaur Chiron, and the camp's trainer, and that his father is the god Poseidon. He also meets Luke Castellan (Jake Abel), the son of Hermes, and Annabeth Chase (Alexandra Daddario), the demigod daughter of Athena. While at the camp, Percy learns that water has the power to heal his injuries, and allows him to manifest his magical abilities.

Hades later appears and reveals that Sally Jackson is his prisoner, and proposes she be traded for the master bolt. Chiron instructs Percy not to bargain with the demon, but to go to Olympus to convince Zeus of his innocence. Percy sneaks away from the camp to travel to the Underworld, along with Grover and Annabeth, who secure for him from Luke a portable shield, flying shoes and a map to Persephone's (Rosario Dawson) pearls, one of which will reveal the exit from the Underworld when retrieved.

At Aunty Em's Garden Emporium, the trio are attacked by Medusa (Uma Thurman), but manage to decapitate her, and take the pearl from her bracelet. They also take her head, which they later successfully use against a hydra that attacks them during their acquisition of another pearl from the crown of a giant statue of Athena at the Parthenon replica in Nashville, Tennessee. They acquire the third and final pearl from a roulette wheel at a hotel casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, in part with help from Poseidon, who aids them against Lotus Eaters. The map reveals an entrance to the Underworld in Hollywood, California, beneath the Hollywood Sign.

The trio enter the Underworld, where, after traveling across the River Styx, they encounter Persephone, who takes them to Hades. Percy attempts to explain to Hades that he is not the lightning thief. During an ensuing melee, Percy drops his shield, whose handle conceals the missing master bolt, which Hades takes. However, the trio manage to reacquire it before escaping the Underworld with the rescued Sally. They are transported to the top of the Empire State Building, which they learn is the location to the entrance to Olympus. They are confronted by Luke, who reveals himself to have been the real lightning thief. Expressing his desire for a new generation of rulers to take over Olympus, he explains that he had hoped that the trio would not have escaped the Underworld alive, and after stealing the bolt from Percy, the two engage in battle. After using his water powers to dispatch Luke, Percy arrives in Olympus, where he presents the retrieved bolt, and reveals the truth about Luke. Poseidon explains to Percy the reason why they could not know each other during Percy's childhood, but expresses his love for his son. Percy returns to Camp Half-Blood, where he resumes his training. After the end credits, a scene shows Sally forcing Gabe out of their apartment and he reads a note on the fridge from Percy telling not to open the fridge. Gabe destroys the lock on the refrigerator and as he opens it, Medusa stares right back at him.

MAPCU-MQA EDU FAIR in mid valley~

1ST time in an edu fair was a pleasant one...haha if minus my ignorance into those LRT stuff.. there were myriad IPTS booth..but to be truth, there's not much (programme)provided which really fit what i've tempted for.. the first booth we went was the USCI's.. talking bout medic, the scholarship offered specifically by the institution was for local medical study ... the counselor who served us (he's a black man_hard to understand his deep voice language at 1st_he's kind =) ) told us that the course medicine is a dear one, so it's a no wonder that there are not much of institution particularly the NGO sponsoring for overseas studies... Erly (my BFF!) asked about chemical eng. and i could say that the offer seemed so good- it included overseas study n full scholarship can b applied ( high chance for high achiever like erly)~all the best erly_ how i wish i could be as flexible as you (she's considering btween medic and chem engen) ... we went to some other booths afterwards (e.g taylor's, KDU, IMU KYUEM and ..etc) ..but to cut it short there's none of a programme like the one provided by JPA or MARA in which i can further my study for medicine overseas (hoping for Royal College of Surgeon, Ireland or Medical University of Vienna) under full sponsorship of course.. gosh, keeping my fingers crossed that one of the medic scholarship from MARA or JPA will be mine..amin~
after done with the exhibition (mid valley exhibition centre), we went for Pizza Hut...three of us (Jaf, Erly and I) together foot the bill... owh yea, i even met members from PC there! (boss, rabbani, and the gang)...all in all, it was tiresome but info(ful) day .. and thumbs up, erly for the "LRT education" you've given me... kamsahamnida n sarangeyo!

i LuRve BahAS!!

jeng,jeng,jeng..ahah, i remembered those moments!!!!...the lucky dates of 4th and 6th march...wait! lucky? alright...can be counted so.... these were two days that me, the beautiful sweet lady (Nadiatul Afifah bt Ismadi), and the cute, Jerry-like girl (the audience thought she looks like the cute mice in Tom & Jerry Kids)......we went 4 a Bahasa debate in Malaya University, Nilampuri..hei hei hei...i've forgotten the "Mr Troy" there... MOHD FAHRULRADZI B BUKHARI (hmmm,..not so sure of the spelling)...grr..jgn mare fahrul....the 1st round with "SMS:Satu Keperluan" as the usul with we as th gov, it went smooth with the three of us (nadia, t-rah, and I) "hentam"ing the 3 debaters from Maahad...there were altogether 3 adjudicators and we managed to get 2 votes out of three...ok, sorry for a bit of trumphet blowing here but i thought the only jury who voted for the oppositon was actualy voting in the name of mercy (nana!!!how can you say that??) alright..alright..its not good to say that..ok then, just assume that we were being too harsh and................hmmm.... the single jury thought we were so rude? ok la..kire baek r tuh...alright, now what's about the 2nd round-with usul of "Penjimatan Tenaga Elektrik menjana kesejahteraan " with again we, holding the premise as gov..ok, there's much of tension before we went up of the stage in the large main hall...ok, i have to admit of the fact that ,my nervousness made me see the hall to be more more majestic than it is..ouh, i felt like a timid cochroach at the one of the corner...ok, why did i feel so? well, we were against 3 form 3 students and we were not much of preparation...Gosh, just imagine if we lost to the "adik-adik"?? ALLAH blessed us...We WON...thanx God!!! ALHAMDULILLAH....

ok here we come to the climax of the novel!!!!huhu... the FINAL was on 6th.....the whole day of a day before final was spent with much spirit "WE WILL WIN, WE WILL WIN" and yelling of "YES, UIA ! WAIT FOR OUR 2 TEAMS!"...jeng...jeng..jeng...unfortunately, something came up on the day of the event...lucky for us that the debate started at 9pm...fuh, you know what...i kept vomitting out and having diarrhea the whole day...i went to the cinic in the morning (damn right. got to spend rm33 for the medicine...sob2..i love my money)...i was confident enough that i was not going to present on the magestic stage in the magestic hall again, which meant the task, my blazer were to be handed to Fahrul, our smart reserved....yes, that's my intention...but, somehow............i was sent half-heart attacked to know that he got the same symptoms as mine...ok, "great"! now, how could this happen? whats the things the two os ate that caused the only he and i getting the same symptoms....ok, just ignore that..now, the main issue here is who's going to bahas up there?? ok, then..no more choice..i was then the 1st speaker of the team, like b4! ok, relax nana...calm down nana/...i tried to persuade myself that i can do it....we went to UM by the college van and made our beeline for our booked rooms (ahahks..cam book hotel la plak!)....i forced myself to eat coz i didnt eat much for the whole day (thnx to Nadia for the Nasi Lmak that she bought me for lunch that i ate half-way)..i bought myself a murtabak maggie formy so-called lunch meal...and there you go, the next moments be the witness of me vomitting all the thing that i have eaten.....ok, fahrul..comfirmed! you are the speaker! ok, now IN THE QUARANTEEN ROOM.....everyone was quite...and i could not see this as the bright sign of winning...with still "loya" feeling at my throat...i quoted this ''ok, biar saya yang naik pentas''.....n guess what, with only the plusminus 25 minutes we got, we stated out parameter, concept, rational, and points as the oppositon to oppose against the motion of "pemantapan ekonomi teras kesejahteraan negara"...and again its our luck blessed by ALLAH, we became the champion..it was a tough debate, but yes the main prize of rm300, trophies, "piala pusingan", and certificates belong to us!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks and much appreciation for all the members of bhas team including the observers!!! n yes, last but never least, CIKGU NORAINI!! LURVE Y'ALL...!
