Mr Hyde

When our emotions are stirred up or when we are in exhaustion,
the things we say
the decision we make
the act we resort to
can be scary.

It makes me scared and sad to think:
"Could it be that that person is what you actually are?
Hiding behind facade of Dr Jekyll.
Waiting to show itself when self control loosens up.
That moment when it's obvious how harsh and selfish you can turn out to be.

Dear Mr Hyde,
Don't just hide.
Please be gone for good.

Oh Allah.
Grant us guidance and blessing in managing this life
Including managing ourselves.
For we are truly a weak slave
And You are ever the almighty.
