8 Things Every Person Should Do Before 8 A.M.

Life is busy. It can feel impossible to move toward your dreams. If you have a full-time job and kids, it’s even harder.
How do you move forward?
If you don’t purposefully carve time out every day to progress and improve — without question, your time will get lost in the vacuum of our increasingly crowded lives. Before you know it, you’ll be old and withered — wondering where all that time went.
As Harold Hill has said — “You pile up enough tomorrows, and you’ll find you are left with nothing but a lot of empty yesterdays.”

Quran verses and Hadith shared in Tarbiyah Dzatiyah book

Mind blowing quran verses and Hadith shared in Tarbiyah Dzatiyah book written by Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz al Aidan:

"Sesungguhnya Allah membela orang-orang yang telah beriman."
(Al-Hajj : 38)

(Al-Ankabut : 69)

" Barangsiapa akhirat menjadi obsesinya, maka Allah menjadikan semua urusannya lancar, hatinya kaya, dan dunia datang kepadanya dalam keadaan tunduk. Dan barang siapa dunia menjadi obsesinya, maka Allah mengacaukan semua urusannya, menjadikannya miskin dan dunia datang kepadanya sebatas yang ditakdirkan untuknya."
(H.R Ibnu Majah)
Our dream for Paradise is a dare and possibility

(H.R Tirmidzi)

Quotes from Tarbiyah Dzatiyah book

Mind blowing quotes from Tarbiyah Dzatiyah book written by Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz al Aidan:

Quick fix?

Another Ramadhan in the UK.
I'm sure I'm going to miss this one day.
It's 3.40am.
Everyone in the house has finished having their suhur and performed Fajr prayer.

This week has been a very wierd week for me.
Rasa macam di awang-awangan.
Numb.

It's not often that Nana forgets her tutorials. Lol tipu.
Oh well. Maybe this whole adjusting to summer time is quite tiring.
You'll be fine soon :)

It's my CDU week. Clinical decisions Unit.
Three other students and I were to spend our time in the CDU.
I'm actually really grateful that I got teamed up with Justin, Lizzie, and Omar for this week. Kind and keen people.
This is the unit where new patients come in after either being referred by the A&E or GP due to cardio or resp problem.

Everytime I go onto different blocks, I always got amazed at how the doctors and surgeons can bring so much impacts to patients' lives.

When I was in Orthopaedic block, I  thought  orthopaedic surgeries were just amazing.
Patients who suffer with pain at doing things we have always taken for granted such as walking from the bedroom to the kitchen can walk pain free after a joint replacement. It's like having your life fixed in few hours! All praises go to Allah for the knowledge  and skills  He blessed into us.

When I was doing my General Surgery block, I thought resecting one's bowels was so mind-blowing. In fact I still do think so even after numbers of surgeries we had to watch.  Imagine how people living hundreds of years ago would think at the idea of having your waste products coming out a bag on your belly i.e via the stoma bag.

And now that I'm doing cardio resp, I love the fact how doctors can make breathless patients feel better. Before this, when we learned our stuff at university, we learn about SOB  or breathless like it's a fictional term. Like it's a nobody stories. The only ways one can appreciate the severity of a symptom are one, when we have the symptoms ourselves and two, by sincerely listening to others. I had asthma so I think I can relate to breathless patients a bit. Remember feeling the breathlessness after running few miles? Imagine having that when you are just resting doing nothing, or when lying down. It's not okay at all. Some patients can't even complete their sentences. This could be due to numerous causes. With mix-and-match of meds and maneuvres alhamdulillah alot of patients feel better post-treatment. I especially love pleural tap procedure where pleural effusion or fluid in the chest is drained out. The sad things about cardioresp conditions are that many of the treatments are more of symptoms management than cure.

Looking at how I feel throughout my blocks so far, I find myself as a quick fix lover.
But dear self, do remember that not every problem or issue in this life has quick fixes. We are all doctors and our life issues are our different types of "patients".

But dear self, do remember that not every problem or issue in this life has quick fixes.

Some can be resolved or cured. Some can only be approached or attended with symptom management and need consistent attentions and care. Some need  prophylaxis or preventive measures. Which group do you think our "eman" sits in?

It's real special

We are happy when it's 1st Jan New Year every single year although it's just another day with 24 hours.

We are delighted over birthdays although its just another day of us getting older and we literally experience that on any other day that passes.

On those days, we collectively as human beings choose to treat them special. We treat them meaningful with celebrations, and sometimes, resolutions to improve ourselves.

We endorse those normal days as special hence they become ones.

What if the One who makes you tell you about days which are special in His Eyes. Collection of special days endorsed by Him.

It's Ramadhan now.
When He mentioned the special month in His Book, it's special for real. When He promised Rayyan paradise for those who fast in the Hadith, Rayyan is real.

Ramadhan Mubarak.
Celebrate real.
Pray real.

Rindu sangat sebenarnya.

Tak Rindu kah dikau.
Kisah dahulu.
Saat diri mula-mula kisah tentang Tuhan.

Tak Rindu kah dikau,
Kisah dahulu
Tatkala diri menangis
Sebab sengaja menghitung dosa

Tak rindu kah dikau
Kisah dahulu

Kisah dahulu,
Bila kisah umat jadi kisah peribadi.

Tak rindu kah?
Masih sudi?

Yakinlah
Kita mampu jatuh cinta lagi.

Drama

Dear me,
surprise yourself,
with self control.

Dear me,
forgive yourself,
and move on.

Dear me,
ask yourself,
to stay patient.

Dear me,
believe in yourself,
and function.

Dear me,
know yourself,
and prioritize.

Dear me,
know Him,
the One who's waiting.

Enough of drama cerekarama.
Enough.
